I often think that one lifetime is not enough. I could honestly think of a dozen different pathways I might wish to pursue. However my childhood interest in nature was too strong to ignore and when I left school I was determined to start a career in the African bush. I studied as a Field Guide and began my time in the eco-tourism industry at a luxury lodge in the Cederberg mountains. A wilderness area renowned for its sandstone rock formations and the archaelogical legacy left by the Bushmen. I then moved onto the staggering beauty of the Karoo and continued my role as a guide. Finally the Greater Kruger, a childhood dream realised. A conservation area of epic proportions and I could call a small part of it my home. Along the way I met and married Michaela, my beautiful wife and mother of our two boys, Joshua and Oliver. While the bush will always be our home, it is now time for the 'next Chapter' in our lives and photography will be my path. Obviously wildlife photography will continue to be a part of my identity but I also want to succeed at other styles of photography. Browse through the Wildlife and Fine Art galleries to see some of my best moments with African wildlife. Keep in touch on facebook and twitter as I explore my creativity with images of people, landscapes, fine art and everything to abstract.
